HINTS ABOUT FISH.
Fresh-water fish often have a muddy tfaste and smell, which may be got rid of "by soaking them in strong salt and water before thev are cooked.
When cooking cod, rub a little salt; ■down the backbone before putting on to tboil. \Vhen cooked you can remove tho tone without any trouble.
