The following horses have been scratched for tho Te Kuiti mooting:— All Engagements.—Manly. Appellant, Tho Jack Jumper, Bob Amans, Abbey Queen, Cymen. Town Fancy, Sir Russell, Glenstar. Awnkino Hack.--Big Bertha.

REVIEW OF THE FIELDS. BY ARCHER. Some smart novices figure among the acceptors for the Maiden Stakes and among them aro Parfait Amour, Glenison, Tasty, Marcchal, Coll, Tuku and Nassau Ladj, who have all shaped creditably in recent outings. There aro several unknown quantities among tho others, the best of whom may be Ding Dong and Grand Arch. Fancies may tako a fairly wide range and some likely to bo in demand arc Nassau Lady, Coll and Marechal.

Tho class engaged in the Kopaki Hurdles is not strong. Tho Lamb won nicely at his last start and should bo difficult to beat in this company. His stable mate. Ah Wera. is also a decided possibility and whichever ono A. E: Cox elects to start is sure to bo fancied. Cybele is capable, but she raced below form at-Te llapa, and tho samo applies to Gold Rep. Spalpiko is a promising beginner and Ring Potoa, who has not raced for somo time, would have to be considered if produced in tho right condition. The Lamb. Ah Wera and Spalpiko may bo tho favourites. Tho Awakino Hack Handicap has drawn a large field. Valuation has failed sinco easily winning at Trcnthani last autumn, but appears to liavo an excellent chance here. Archieleen and Valroo aro recent winners with chances, while Cruachan and Te Taone performed well enough last season to havo prospects in this class. Possible improvers among tho others are Pateie, Snow Prince and Day Guide. Valuation, Te Taone and Cruachan muy be strongly fancied.

With 13 useful performers engaged in the To Kuili Cud prospects for a good race aro excellent. Maori Boy and Lady's Boy have meed well this season and must therefore ho treated with respect. The Swell, who was consistent last season, should bo woitb serious consideration, and tho best of the light-weights may ho Black Mario and Ihe Lover. It should be a decent betting race and backers nmy show a preference for Tho Lover, Black Marie and Lo Choucas. Tho To Kumi Hack Handicap bears an open aspect. Although they have solid weights, Unoco and Luminary should show up, and rompciuß is also likely. Gleua Bay, Mountain Guide, Always and Spring Abbey nro possibilities, and Master Roley reads well in through his form with Luminary at Cambridge, since when he has won over hurdles. Master Roley, Always and Luminary may command strong support. Tho Puketmu Handicap has nttractcd a useful field, and Sir Russell, who won a double at To. Rapa. is top-weight. If started, ho must bo dangerous, as ho is aft horse. Ohinemnri has not raced well lately and on recent form should bo held snfe by Ti Tree. Macroom, Glenstar and Lunette are nicely placed and may bo tho most difficult for tho top-weights lo beat. Glenstar, Macroom and Lunette aro likely to havo substantial fallowings.

Another largo field in carded (or tho Otorohnnga Hack Handicap. Some of the candidates havo earlier engagements and form in some of tlie previous events may giro i> Biiiuo to the prospects. 'L'e Taono and Valstreet nro favourably placed ant! should tako a deal of beating. They may receive most opposition from Oscur. Patero and Crown Arch. To Taone and Valatrcet sire likely to dispute favouritism. Sorno u Refill sprinters will contest tho Stewards' Hnndicnp. Hidgemount'o form last, season must entitle him to respect, while Morvclte is a recent winner, who must have a good chance il started. Awarcrc. TakuUinu and The Begum nro possibilities. and likely aro Air King, Macrooni and Timcriri. Tho wagering is likely" to bo Holid and the primo fancies may include Awarerc. Ihe Begum, and Air Kins. SECOND DAY'S EVENTS. The events to bo run on tho second day of tho To Kuiti Racing Club's mooting on Monday is composed afl follows Trial Handicap (six furlongs)) Piopio Hack Hurdles (about one mile five furlongs). ITnnpatiKi liuclc Handicap (six furloilßß), Waiiomo Handicap (one mile and a furIons). Maniapoto Hack Clip (one mile and n. furlong). Ma iron Flying Hnndicnp (sis furlongs), Ra'ngitofo Hack Handicap (seven furlongs), and Farewell Handicap (five furlunga).
