LEAGUE OF PENWOMEN.
An entertainment was given on Friday afternoon by the dramatic section of the Penwomcn's League. In the unavoidable absence of Mrs. Stuart Boyd Mrs. Griffiths, convener of the section, presided. A Japanese piny, "The Mirror," was read by Mrs. Griffiths, Miss Bertram and Miss Peacock; Miss Raie Robinson gave a dramatic recital, "Comedy and Tragedy"; and Miss Oona Burton an original recital, "A Visitor from Mars." Mrs. Griffiths, accompanied by Miss Elsa Craig, gave three attractive monologues, "Tho Old Front Door," "A Bunch of Rosps" and "Colds—in Three Sneezes." Miss Elsa Craig's songs, "L'Art Exquise" and "At Sunset," and Miss Alice Greville's song, "The Geisha Girl," wero very acceptable items. A vote of thanks to the performers was proposed by Dr. Mildred Stnley and carried by acclamation.
