ENGLISH CRICKETERS.
SMALL SCORE AT PERTH.
BOWLEY IN GOOD FORM.
SCORE OF 79 NOT OUT. PITCH HELPS BOWLERS. By Telegraph—Press Association—Copyright. (Received November 2, 1.15 a.m.) PERTH, Nov. 1. The English cricketers continued their first innings to-day against Western Austialia, who had made 185. The Englishmen had matje 25 yesterday for no wickets. The weather was cloudy with drizzling showers, and there was only a fair attendance. It was a bowler's wicket for the earlier portion of the play. Duleepsinhji's appearance was cheered, but a sensation was caused when he was clean bowled by a yorker for one run. The hero of the day was Bowley, who in spite of a painfully injured hand doggedly saved his side. Ihe Englishmen had lost six wickets for 58 runs, but the improving wicket aided the batting.
