BOARD EXONERATES AIRMAN.

The board! of inquiry which investigated the aviation accident on October 13, when Lieutenant Vale made a forced landing, found that the damage to the aeroplane was not dicie to any negligence on the part, bf the Canterbury Aero Club or Lieutenant Vale.
The evidence showfid that hid Barrington Park, where the machine landed, been friss of children a safe landing would have bE;en made. The board . nommended lieutenant Vale for his action iin risking injury to himself rather than to the children.
