CROSSING COLLISION.
ENGINE STRIKES LORRY* NARROW ESCAPE OF DRIVER, [BT TELEGRAPH. —OWN ' CORRESPONDENT. ] NEW PLYMOUTH. Monday. A lorry driver, Mr. J. Dring, had a narrow escape this afternoon when his lorry was struck by the engine of a train which was passing over the Cracroffc Stroet level crossing at Waitara. Mr. Dring was flung clear and was not injured. The lorry was considerably damaged, one wheel being wrenched off, and the cab and fore part of the lorry being badly smashed.
