The Australian Jockey Club was favoured with fino weather and for tho concluding day of the spring carnival yestorday thero was a large attendance at Randwick. Tho race track was Blow, duo to recent wet weather.

iho New Zealand filly Green Linnet received pronounced support from her connections for the Canonbury Stakes, but she run poorly, and finished at tho roar of tho field.

Fjret Acre made a splendid bid for victory in the Wavcrley Handicap, but ho weakened in tho final strides, losing the race by half a head.

In tho decision of tho Dowling Steeplechase Home Mado appeared a. possibility, but ho hit several fences in the latter stages of the race causing him to weaken at tho finish.

Nightmorch once again established himself as a great horse by brilliantly capturing tho Randwick Plato. Tho New Zealand liorse was running last for most of tho journey. In tho final stage of tho long journey ho fairly smothered the opposition, gaining tho verdict by two lengths.
