LEGISLATION IN ENGLAND
PROPOSALS TO COMBAT.
British Wireless. RUGBY, Sept. CO. One of tho first measures which will l>c introduced on the reassembling of 1 arliamcnt is the Coast Protection Bill, which the President of the Board of Trade. Mr. William Graham, has in hand. Tho bill is founded ou tho report of the Royal Commission which examined tho question of coast erosion lioforo the war. Its main purpose is to sot up bodies representative of local authorities in whose territories encroachment by sea is taking place. These new authorities will be enabled to co-opcrate in schemes to prevent coast erosion over wide areas. Tho bill itself docs not make provision for any money to assist in the work, but it may bo taken as one part of the Government's plans for tho relief of unemployment.
