CHILD MARRIAGES BILL.
SUPPORTERS IN A FIGHT.
United Service. DELHI, Sept. 19. Uproar characterised a mooting in the Town Hall, Delhi, attended by orthodox opponents of the bill to forbid child marriages. The hall was captured by supporters of tho bill. Laths and the legs of broken chairs functioned instead of speeches. Ultimately the supporters of the bill proposed that a woman should take tho chair and passed a resolution in favour of tho measure by a large majority.
