MISSING PASTOR.
BODY IN A BELFRY.
STRANGE AFFAIR IN GERMANY
Australian and N.Z. Press Association. BERLIN, Sept. 39
A gruesome tragedy is reported from Wolfenbuttel. ' The pastor of the church, Schwartz, disappeared two weeks ago, and the surrounding country was searched for him in vain.
Eventually tho search waa abandoned. Every day throughout tho fortnight tho old bellringer at tho church rang tho bell calling worshippers to prayers. He failed to notice anything unusual until this morning, when tho missing pastor's hat dropped at his feet. Tho old man looked up and saw the pastor's body hanging against the clapper and swinging with tho bell.
