HABITUAL CRIMINAL.

John Cox, aged 65, was to-day convictod on a charge of falso pretences and was sentenced to three years' imprisonment. He was declared an habitual criminal. Cox is said to have had a long record of crime in New Zealand in tho same class of offence.
