SCHOOL DENTAL CLINICS.
OOMPLAINT IN CANTERBURY.
AN EXPLANATION SOUGHT.
[by telegraph.—own correspondent.] CHBISTCHURCH, Friday.
Although the Health Department has intimated that there are no more nurses available for work in school dental clinics, the Canterbury Education Board has decided to seek on explanation from the Education Department regarding its attitude in not recommending any grants toward the cost of erecting dental clinics until next year. At a meeting of the board the chairman, Mr. W. Wild, said he had been informed that a fully-qualified dental nurse had applied to the department for employment, but the application had been refused. On Mr. Wild's motion it was decided to inform the department that qualified women dentists were available for dental clinics and to ask for an explanation of the department's attitude.
