PRESENTATIONS.
/ "Prior to the meeting of the Works and fjervices Committee at the Otahuhu Conn*cil Chambers on Thursday evening opportunity was taken of the occasion to recognise the past services of Miss H. Laundy, who for the past 10 years has been engaged as clerk in the council offices. On behalf of the Borough Council," Mayor and councillors, the Mayor, Mr'. H. T. Cletaerits, presented to Miss Laundy a silver afternoon teaset. In making the presentation the Mayor eulogised the past services of Miss Laundy and wished her every happiness in her futuro life. On , behalf of the council staff the borough foreman presented Miss Laundy with a china tea service and Mr. G. V. Pearce, chairman of the Works Committee, on behalf of tho quarry foreman and employees, handed Miss Laundy an oakfrumod clock with illuminated dial. Mr. W.'Crow, on behalf of Miss Laundy, returned thanks for tho handsome gifts.
