IN APPRECIATION.
Mention of the help which can be given by women to, husbands whose work calls them frequently from their homes was made at a meeting of the Waitemata County Council, when a small presentation was made to the county engineer, Mr. A. Murray. In recognition of the birth of a daughter to Mr. and Mrs. Murray, tho engineer was 'presented with a silver porridge bowl and spoon for tho child's future use.
The chairman, Mr. L. E- l£crr-Taylor, referred ip/ Mr. Murray's untiring services on behalf of the council, ana said Mrs. Murray was responsible for a great, deal of tho credit, 'ihe wife of an engineor who was often away from his homo did not always havo a happy time. Mrs. Murray had never hindered her husband in his work,..'and Ije had thus been able to devote his full time to his duties.
