NOVEL ADVERTISING.
USE FOR BALD HEADS.
PAINTINGS FOR DISPLAY.
United Service.' LONDON, Sept. 18. An advertiser in a London newspaper called for "12 respectable bald-headed gentlemen" who would allow him to paint a typewriter advertisement on, their scalps. The advertisement stated that tlio successful applicants would bo required to attend theatres, concert halls, and other assemblies, where people s heads were usually uncovered. Each was to bo given a personal attendant to protect him from annoyance. Thirty-five replies were received, the youngest bald-headed applicant being 25. Tho chief lure appears to have been tho prospect of free entertainment. Olio applicant wrote: —"My wifo is quite capable of protecting mo, and will do so for suitable remuneration."
