VOICE FROM GALLERY.
PARLIAMENT INTERRUPTED.
INTERVENTION OF POLICE
MAN ORDERED TO LEAVE
[HI TELEGRAPH.—SPECIAL 71EPOETEH.] WELLINGTON. Wednesday.
So keenly did a sentiment uttered by Mr. E. J. Howard, Labour member for Christchurch South, appeal to an occupant of the public gallery in tho House of Representatives this evening that lie gave voice to a hearty, " Hear, hear." '* I am glad to have tho support of someone," said Mr. Howard. "I do not know who it was."
" A worker of New Zealand," replied the stranger, vigorously. "Order! Order!" called the Speaker. " I am sorry, sir, I thought it was someone on the floor of the House," said Mr. Howard.
Two policemen requested the interrupter to withdraw, which be did quietly, and tho House once more pursued its placid course, after an incident that is most unusual in the Parliament of New Zealand.
