OLD FOOTBALLER'S FATE.
[BY TELEGRAM. —OWN COnnESrONDENT.J OAMARU, Wednesday. Tho mutilated body of Charles Rivers, a labourer, aged 61 years, was found at eight o'clock this morning on tho railway lino at the foot of a cliff near the breakwater. He was well known in town and as a Rugby representative. Latterly he had been living a nomadic life. Apparently he missed his footing at tho top of tho cliff where ho had been sleeping, death being instantancoui. '
