In the cricket match Notts (champion county) versus Rest of England, the latter mailo 282 in their first innings (Hobbs 68, Leyiand 75). Staples took four wickets for 63. Notts (364 in first innings) in their second venture havo lost one wicket for 99 (Whysail 50).

A relay run of 560 miles from Melbourne to Sydney, arranged by tho St, Stephen's harriers, was commenced today. Tho run is divided into six stages. It will be completed in soven days.

Campolo was to-day pronounced fit by tho State Athletic Commission. Ho was ordered to lodgo a forfeit of £IOOO against bis appearance on Monday to box Scott.
