MUSICAL EVENING.

The musical circle of the Lyceum Club met on Monday evening. This was tho first opei; evening held by the circle m tho new club rooms, and the lounge, with its lofty ceiling, proved to be an excellent room for entertainments of Ibis kind A very attractive programme had been arranged, and was enthusiastically received by a large audience. Miss Bcrtu Carr sang French and Russian songs, her accompaniments being played by Miss Maida Hooker, who was also heard m pianoforte solos. Mrs. Singer, accompanied by Mrs Prince, played violin solos, and Mrs Lowrie McGregor gave several entertaining sketches Songs were also given by Mr. Leu Barnes, and the programme con eluded with some ballet dances bv pupils of Madame Baird, Misses Mollie Woolcott and Joan Welsh.
