Loud in iheir praises of (lie hospitality extended to them at Fiji, a party of NewZealand bowlers who competed in fha recent Pacific bowling tournament, returned from Suva bv the Makura yesterday. Among them was Mr. W. Brown, of Christchurch, who won the singles championship of the Pacific. The New Zealand contingent was most successful at. the tournament. A Uotorua team won (ho rinks competition, fwo Southland players won tho pairs, and Mr. Brown won tho singles. "The greens at Suva are equal to any in New Zealand," Mr. Brown said. "We had excellent weather, and the playing conditions were ide^j."
