DAMAGE BY FIRE.
DRAPER'S SHOP AT BULLS.
INCENDIARISM SUSPECTED

Fire was discovered shortly before live o'clock this morning in two places at the front and rear of premises occupied by Mr. V. Edhouse, draper, Bulls. The fire brigade with the chemical engine suppressed the outbreak, but not before considerable damage had been done. The stock suffered greatly from smoke and water.
Later, it was found that a . wooden panel of the rear door had been broken, and there was strong evidence of incendiarism.
Mr. Edhouse is at present in Christchurch.' FARMHOUSE BURNED DOWN.
OCCUPIER ABSENT AT TIME
[BY TELEGRAPH. —PRESS ASSOCIATION.] HAWERA, Monday.
During the temporary absence of the owner and occupier, Mr. J. Martin, an eight-roomed farmhouse, near " Opunake, was destroyed by fire with nil the contents, in the early hours of Sunday morning. The furniture was insured for £SOO.
