ANNUAL REPORT. Tho annual report to be presented at tho annual meeting of tho Auckland Racing Club convened to bo held on Monday. August 13, shows that the club's operations during the past season have been marked with success notwithstanding tho ndverno weather experienced nt the summer meeting Tho prize-money distributed (exclusive of £3OO sweepstakes contributed by ownors) amounted to £>">1.250.
The alterations to tho course proper have now been completed. No further improvements aro contemplated for tho immediate future, as the committee desire lo nee the
club's finance;' in such n position as soon as possible as will justify the inauguration of the general building and building scheme outlined last rear. A sum of £3889 16s 2d hna been written off buildings and plant for depreciation, and a balance of XI2OO 7s lid is left to be transferred to capital account The committee refer with regret to several deaths among members einco last meeting. vis., Mr. S Bradley (for many years a member of tho committee), and Messrs. E R. Bloom field J L. R. Bloomfield. W J. Brown, H. P. Cameron, .T. O. Dunn. llueo t'riedlander, R. Fricdlandor, CJ. Green. II P Kissling. John Milne, H. L. C. Mowbray. and T Wingliold. Nominal ions of office-bearers for tho ensuing term have been received as follows: President, .Sir Edwin Milcholsou, K.C.M.G.. M.L.C.: vice-president. Mr. 11. Nolan: Stewards (threo seats). Menars. M. «1. Lynch. Wni. C. Uiu,;t and C». A. Wynyard Being tho only nominations for tho respective positions tlK'y will bo declared duly elected. For tho tivo seats on ihe ccmmitteo Messrs. J. M.
