McLeod, to tho effect that after careful consideration of tho representations made for a match between tho All Blacks and the Maoris at AucklanJ next Wednesday it was emphatically agreed that tho proposal was quite impracticable. Apart from the question of extra leave for the players, there would not be 15 sound men to make a team. Xnpia, Cnrlcton, Dal ley, t'liver, McAVilliams and Steere were »n----iured and others v ore suffering from colds. Auckland has also declined the match witii tho Maoris, as the Auckland team v ill leave on Wednesday for Wairarapa to play for Ihe Ranfurly Shield on the following Saturday.
