KAITAIA COMPANY'S YEAR. GREAT INCREASE IN OUTPUT. Tho 28th annual report of tho Kaitaia Co-operative Dairy Factory Company ; Ltd.j states that the season's output reached tho record total of 955 tons, an increase over tho previous season of tons, which is equal to 21.23 per cent. The total pay-out to suppliers for butterfat, including the further payment which is recommended, is £129,416, as against £103,604 for tho previous seascuJy an increase of £25,812. It has been found necessary during tho past season to replace certain units of the plant with more up-to-date machines.' A 2000i'o. churn was installed in March last and'a second churn of the same typo and capacity is on order and is expected to be available for installation this month. In addition orders were also placed for delivery this month for two water-coolers, one pasteuriser, cream pumps, piping and accessories. Tha new wharf and goods shed at the factory are now complete!!, with the exception of road formation and metalling. This work is well m hand, anfl when completed this addition to the company's premisos will bo of considerable advantage in the handling of goods and the shipment of butter. The total value of butter sales for the season was £147,794, an increase the previous season of £27,526, the average realisation 'per 11). being 16.73 d. With reference to tho sale of December to February make made last season at Is 4gd f.o.b. ocean steamer, consignment realisations for this period did not average equal to tho f.o.b. sale.
