BANK MANAGER RETIRING.
OVER 40 YEARS' SERVICE. [BY TELEGRAFH. —OWN CORRESPONDENT.] NEW PLYMOUTH, Thursday. The manager of tho New Plymouth branch of the National Bank of New Zea> land, Mr. A. Mcllardy, who is retiring, was farcwelled at a social last evening by a large number of his friends and clients of tho bank. Mr. Mcllardy has been manager of tlie Now Plymouth branch for 24 years. He entered the bank's service 42 years ago, his first post also being at New Plymouth. Appreciative references to Mr. McHardy's connection with the bank were made by members of the business, legal and farming communities.
