PRESENTATIONS.
The presentation oi a fur coat, a silver tray and a tea set was made to Airs. E. M.'Cowie by a number of old friends and parishioners at Southwell School yesterday. Airs. E. B. Hoy wood made the presentations. Archdeacon Cowio responded on behalf of Airs. Cowie. Archdeacon and Airs. Cowio will shortly leave Hamilton for Khandallah, Wellington. A presentation of . a silver-mounted baton, suitably inscribed, was made to Mr. IT. J. G." All on at the annual meeting of the Fukekohe .Municipal Band ot> Wednesday evening, as a token of appreciation of Mr. Allen's j.crviws as chi ductor of the band. It was stated that tho band owed its present saiisfactoiv position largely to Air. Allen's eeneicu-; services as conductor. A case of pipes was also presented to Air. M. S. Campbell in appreciation of his services in auditini; tho accounts.
A presentation was made to Sr-rgeani Charles Ihinford, of the Newton poluv station, on Wednesday evening on the occasion of his transference to Wonganui. In making the. presentation on behalf of the Newton staff, Senior - Sergeant M. Flanagan referred to Sergeant Dunford's five years' service at tho city and Newton stations, and expressed his regret at . losing such a capable officer. Air. David Court attended with two pipers, who played Scotch national airs.
