The execution has taken place of Ali Ahmed Jan, brother-in-law of ex-King Amanulla of Afghanistan. Aft»r Amanulla's flight from Kabul Ali turned traitor and proclaimed himself King of Jalalabad and Kandahar. Ali was shot at the order of Bacha-i-Sakao, the present occupant of tho throne, because he refused to swear allegiance to Bacha,
