Sandhurst assumed charge at tho first fence, and was never afterwards headed, lte soon had twelve lengths advantage li'oni Flavel Light. I'arupa fell at tlio end of tho first round. Sandhurst, who at one stago of the contest was twenty lengths ahead of the field, was only ten in front passing the stand, followed by Mosstroopei. Willanjio, Scnlit. The lnst-uumcd joined Sandhurst two furlongs from home, hut the latter drew away. Mosstrooper, howevci, came along with a good run and Sandhurst had to be hustled to win by a neck.
