SHEEP KILLED BY BUS.
HEAVY LOSS TO OWNER. VALUABLE SOUTHDOWNS. [HY TELEGRAPH.— TOESS ASSOCIATION.] ' WELLINGTON, Friday.
A Railway Department bus ran into a mob of valuable Southdown sheep on the pipe bridge over the Hutt River and killed eight of them. The loss to the owner, Mr. Cottle, who had just purchased Ihe sheep from the breeder, Mr. Leighton, is stated to run into some hundreds of pounds.
