[ITY TELEGRAPH.—OWN CORRESPONDENT.] NEW PLYMOUTH, Tuesday.

As tlic result o? injuries received in a "motor collision on Saturday night, Mr. Thorn:is Neighbour, of New Plymouth, died 'in the New Plymouth Hospital last night. Mr. Neighbour was riding on (he rear of a motor-cycle with his son. The collision took place at the foot of Stnndish Hill, with a car driven by Mr. Frank Frost.

Mr. Neighbour sustained several broken libs and injuries to bis shoulder. Ho was an employee of the Railways Department and was well known locally.

An inquest was opened to day and ad journed.

YOUTH'S ARM BROKEN

A collision with a motor-car near Otorohanga yesterday caused a motor-cyclist, David Campbell, aged 18, of Korakonui, to suffer a broken aim and severe bruises and cuts about the head. The injured youth was taken to the Waikato Hospital.

Serious head injuries were sustained by Mr. Maxwell John Picard, aged 23, who was picket' up in an unconscious condition near bis motor-cycle in Leslie's Gully on the Hamilton-Cambridge Road, this morning. The cycle had evidently skidded and thrown the rider on to the road. A passing motorist picked the young man up and hurried him to the Waikato Hospital. His condition at a lale hour to-night was still serious.

Mr. Picard, who is single and a signwriter by occupation, lives with his parents at 50, Claremont Street, Hamilton.

FRONT FORKS COLLAPSE

CYCLIST THROWN HEAVILY

A yount; man, Mr. R. N. Mclntyre, of Hamilton, had a narrow escape from serious injury at Hamilton to day. He was motor-cycling down Victoria Street when one of the front forks of his machine broke. The rider was thrown over the handlebars, and after somersaulting, fell heavily on the road. He escaped with a bruised knee and minor abrasions.

Cuts to his face and hands were sustained by a motor-cyclist, Roy Robert Freeman, aged 23, of 32, Duke Street, Dominion .Road, when lie was involved in a collision with a motor-car al: the intersection of Reach Rpad and Anzac Avenue about half-past six hist evening. He,was conveyed by the St.- John Ambulance to the Auckland Hospital. His condition last evening was stated to be satisfactory. The driver of the motor-car escaped injury and his vehicle was not damaged. The motor-cycle, however, was extensively damaged.
