YOUNG WOMAN'S DEATH.

VERDICT AT THE INQUEST.

The adjourned inquest into the circumstances of the death of Freda Helen Clark, who died at tho nursing homo of Mrs. Georgina Colnett, Williamson Avenue, on November 1, 1923, .wus concluded yesterday. Tho coroner, Mr. F. K. Hunt, S.M., returned the following verdict:—"That Freda Helen Clark died at 58, Williamson Avenue, Auckland, on November 1, 1928, and that tho cause of her death was acuto septicaemia, following a septic incomplete abortion." Tho inquest on Miss Clark', who was aged 29, and was late of To Aroha, was opened on Novembor 2, and was then adjourned to November 20. Tho refusal of soveral witnesses to reply to a number of questions resulted in tho coroner's remarking that tho caso was ono which required the fullest investigation, and he adjourned tho inquest again, with tho direction that tho Crown solicitor should take charge of the caso on bohalf of tho police. Mr. Hubble, representing tho Crown solicitor's office, stated that ho had no further evidence to call, arid the inquest was then closed, the coroner returning tho verdict already stated.
