FALWASSER TO RETURN.
REFUSES LEAGUE OFFER. DID NOT SAIL FOR ENGLAND. A. Fahvasscr, the Maori and Auckland Ilugby representative footballer, who was reported to have signed on with a League football club in England, did not sail from Wellington by tl.o Corinthic on Saturday, as arranged. Falwasscr's name appeared in the lint of passengers telegraphed from Wellington. However, word has been received f"om him to the effect that he decided almost at the last minute not to go, and that he is returning to Auckland this week. It is understood Falwasser remained in Now Zealand for family reasons. Providing Fahvasscr has not signed an agreement, or accepted any money ho will bo eligible to play Rugby without being reinstated. The Manukau Club is hoping its former captain will bo able to assist it in its match next Saturday. Tho three League players, Hutt, Hall and Hardgrave, all left by the Corinthic to fulfil engagements with English clubs.
