THEFT FROM A JUDGE.
INCIDENT AT A HOTEL. ACTION AGAINST THE PUBLICAN. The sequel to a theft of money, the property of Judge Mocatta at a hotel at Casino. New South Wales, recently, is a summons issued by the Judge claiming the amount of his loss of £l3 from the proprietor of the hotel The action, it is stated, is based on an old English Act regarding the liability of an innkeeper toward the inmates Defence of the action, it is understood, will be under taken by the North Coast Licensed Vic' tuallers' Association.
