MINE MANAGERS' REPORTS.
Waiomo Sulphide.—The north drive on the Zeehan reef, at No. 5 level, has been extended 85ft. in payable ore. The reef is 4ft. wide. Tho drive is now under the main range at a depth of about 600 ft. Preparations are being made to rise through tho chute of high-grade ore to connect with No 2 level and make accessible a large tonnage of milling ore. The construction ol the milling and concentrating plant has been resumed and should be completed by August. A suction gas plant, to drive an air-compressor' capable of operating four rock-drills simultaneously, has been purchased and is now being installed. lhis plant will accelerate the development of blocks in preparation for milling. Occidental Una. —Stopmg oil the north end of No. is being continued. Iho reef looks very well, carrying good blend and colours and dabs of gold. All Quartz is oeinff saved for treatment. Two shuts ara being worked on the battery and the crusbings are shaping well.
