AEROPLANE MANOEUVRES.
DARING FRENCH FLIERS.
MASS FORMATION ALOFT.
NICEST PRECISION REQUIRED.
Australian Pressi Association—United Service (Received May 11. 1t.5 p.m.) PARIS. May 13. Most, daring aeroplane manoeuvres were witnessed to-day at Le Bourget. One hundred and fivo reconnoitring bombing machines look off simultaneously and rose into the air. After flying three miles they formed into a compact mass. Flying at an altitude of 3000 feet they were under the protection of 40 chasing aeroplanes which had overtaken them and circled continually at a higher level.
This beautiful formation scheme required the nicest precision. It was carried out without a hitch.
