BOUGHT BY COMMONWEALTH. AUCTION SALE IN LONDON. Australian and N.Z. Press Association. LONDON, May 13. Mr. W. H. li'ould, Principal Librarian of New South Wales, acting on behalf of the Commonwealth Mitchell Library, bought a.t auction for £7600 all Sir Joseph Banks' letters, except the first lot, a letter written from Rio do Janeiro, which the firm of Bernard Quarifch bought for £420.
