SHOCKING TRAGEDY.
WOMAN FOUND* SHOT. MAN EXTENSIVELY WOUNDED. (Received May 11, 8.35 p.m.l MELBOURNE, May 11. A shocking discovery was made to-day in Coburg, a suburb of Melbourne. In a lane were found the dead body of Mrs. Ida Andrews, aged 38, whose head had been riddled with bullets, and the semi-conscious form of Albert Bramich, aged 56, a factory employee, who was suffering from extensive injuries.
Mystery surrounds the tragedy. Neighbours say they heard a quarrel and then the sounds of shots from a firearm. However, they gave no information to the police. A revolver was found beneath tho woman's body. The man s skull had been fractured and one of his eyes had been gouged out. The two deceased had been on friendly terms for some time.
