AUCKLAND WINTER MEETING. Though the prize-money attached to the Auckland Trotting Club's Winter Meeting lias been reduced, no race on the programme is of less value than £250, and, with the two leading events each worth X'7so. the A.T.C. committee has dealt with the matter in a, manner that still keeps Alexandra Park well on the map. The conditions governing the Prince of Wales Handicap and the C. l'\ Mark Memorial Handicap have been amended, and the provision now reads: —"For horses that have done, or been handicapped to do 4.31 or better at time of nomination in a race at a meeting held by a club recognised by the New Zealand Trotting Association."
