KNOCKED DOWN BY CAR.
DEATH OF PEDESTRIAN. NO BLAME ON DRIVER. [BY TELEGRAPH. —OWN CORRESPONDENT. 3 HAMILTON. Wednesday. That deceased died of injuries sustained through being accidentally knocked down by a motor-car was the verdict returned by Mr. Wyvern Wilson, S.M., at an inquest, to-day concerning the death of William Andrew Wilson, farmer, of To Uku. Deceased was struck by a car driven by L. C. Buckenham, of Hamilton, in Victoria Street on April 23, and died two days later in the Waikato Hospital. Witnesses slated that the driver of the car had sounded his horn aiid slowed down before striking deceased. The coroner said no blame could be attached to the driver.
