DEATH FROM POISON.
FATE OF AGED MAN. [BY TELEGRAPH. —OWN CORRESPONDENT.] HAMILTON. Wednesday. An inquest' concerning the death of James Sinden, aged 76, of Pirongia,' who died at the Waikato Hospital recently, was conducted beforo the coroner, Mr. Wyvern Wilson, S.M., at Hamilton, to-day.
Dorothy Mary Hall, nurse, said deceased was under her charge. He was then in an unconscious condition. He died the following morning. Constable Forsyth, of To Awamutu, said he received instructions to visit deceased's residence at Pirongia to look for bottles containing a drug. He found two such empty bottles. The chemist who supplied them had stated that Sinden procured them for the purpose of doctoring a horse. The coroner returned a verdict of death from poison, self-administered, there not being sufficient evidence to show whether it had been taken accidentally or intention a 11 v.
