MOTORISTS PROSECUTED
TRAFFIC BY-LAW BREACHES.
FINES FOR VARIOUS ' OFFENCES. Motorists were prosecuted in the Police Court yesterday for breaches of the traffic by-laws. Dangerous driving cost A. Rogers, F. Overton, R. Ellis, J. Lawther, C. Beer, and F. R. Newton £2 each, while R. A. Vibert, A. Grieve, N. P. Doherly, W. Hall, A. L. Hastie, G. C. Laird, and D. Taylor wcro each fined 30s. C. Jenkins was fined £l.
Fines of 10s were imposed on K. D. Meyer, D. Cox, W. E. Simpson, J. R. Smith, S. Wagstaffe, C. D. Tunks, W. K. Cook, F. V. Anderson, A J. Naysmith, F. H. Wells and H. Hadfield for leaving cars unattended for a longer period than that allowed. Passing a stationary tramcar cost 11. Sanders and L. W. Taylor £2 each. For failing to obey traffic signals, T. M. Cook, A. E. Brickwnll, R. Hick and T. W. Keane were fined £1 each. A. Jolly was fined £1 for passing a vehicle on a bridge. Penalties oj 5s were inflicted on B. Myers, E. Stacey, R. L. Grimshaw, W. J." Foley and S. Smith for having insufficient lights on their vehicles.
