MANUREWA INTERESTS.
BUILDING REGULATIONS. The Manurewa Town Board met on Monday evening, the chairman, Mr. G. Gallaher, presiding. Following a notice of motion by Mr. G. Osborne, it was decided to rescind the by-law relating to the erection of buildings in the brick area, which includes buildings within a quarter of a mile of the post office, the Manurewa and Hornai railway stations, and to provide that all shops, business garages and public buildings erected in the town district must be of permanent material. The secretary of the Auckland Chamber of Commerce advised that the chamber had agreed to support the move for the early completion of the duplication of the railway line between Papatoetoe and Papakura.
