HOCKEY.
LADIES' ASSOCIATION.
DRAW FOR FIRST ROUND. The executive of the Auckland Ladies' Hockey Association met last evening. Miss 1\ H. Dawson presiding. Entric-s for this season's competitions were received from nino clubs, comprising 15 teams. Tlio senior teams were graded as follows:—Aj-awa, Mount Eden, 'Somerville, Wesley, Y.W.C.A. (one team each). It was decided to divide the junior grade teams into two seciions, as follows:—Section A: Mount Eden, Papakuva, Papatoctoe A, Technical A, Y.W.C.A. Section B: Papatoctoe B, Technical B, Somerville, Wesley, with the possibility of a team from Manurcwa. It was decided-to play three rounds in each section.
Use application for affiliation from collegiate teams was deferred. The following applications for affiliation from sub-associa-tions were granted:—Franklin, Hauraki Plains. Northern Wairoa, Piako, Waihi, Waipa. Whangarei.
Tho following delegates were appointed:— Franklin (deferred). Hauraki Plains (Miss Hariis), Northern Wairoa (Miss Klen* ner)._ I iako (Miss Meelian), Waihi (Miss C. Beatic), Waipa (Miss A. Twiname), Whangarei (Miss G, Lowe). The draw for tho first round resulted as follows:
Senior Grade.—Somerville v, Wesley, Mount, Eden v. Y.W.C.A., Arawa a bye. Junior Grude.—Section A: Technical A v. Papitknra, Y.W.C.A. v. Papatoetoe A, Mount Eden a bye. Section B: Technical B v. Papatoctoe B. Wesley v. Somerville, Mu r.urewa a bye.
