MISS 'STOCKLEY'S RECORD. A new Dominion record for 100 metres tiackstroke was created by Miss Ena Slock3ey, of the Grammar Swimming: Club, in a ipecinl attempt at the Tepid Ball's last Miss Stocklcy covered the distance in ,84 2-ss, which time eclipsed her own NeW* Zealand record of 85a by 3-ss. In the attempt Miss Stockley also swam ■'3oo yds. in, 775. which is an improvement of 4-53 on"lier own existing New Zealand record of 77 4-;>s. However, on April lb whe registered, in a special attempt, 76 2-ss. Application has been made to have tms .time accepted as the new record.
