EMPIRE VETERANS.
THE ANNUAL REUNION.
The 29th annual reunion of the King's Empire Veterans (Auckland) was held last evening, tho commanding.officer, Captain James Stichbury, presiding. There was an attendance of about 110 veterans and friends. Captain Stichbury, in welcoming thoso present, said it was a pleasure to see such, a fine muster.
Au excellent .concert programme was rendered by Mr. Leo. Whittaker and assisting artists. Captain Stichbury and Lieutenant G. H. Powley also gavo ; items. At tho conclusion of the.concert supper was served, after which the veterans, including men who had fought in the Maori arid Boer Wars and in campaigns in the Sudan and tho north-west .frontier of India, renewed acquaintances and -talked of old times.
