LAND BOARD ELECTION.
SITTING MEMBER RETURNED. The election of a member of the Land Board for the North Auckland district, held yesterday, resulted in the sitting member, Mr. W. T. Hunt, being returned with a majority of 156 over Mr. J. G. Barclay. Mr. Hunt was elected on May 24, 1925, and has held office for four years, having been re-elected unopposed at the last election held two yea.s ago. Of the 2711 electors on the roll, only 1012 voted.
Details of the voting are Mr. W. T. Hunt, sitting member, 443 votes; Mr, J. G. Barclay, 287; Mr. R. E. Hornblow, 170; Mr. R. T. Wrathall, 101; informal, 11; total 1012.
