BRAVE DEALING WITH FIRE. : HUMANE SOCIETY'S AWARD. [BY TELEGRAPH.—PRESS ASSOCIATION.] > GISBOKNE; Tuesday. A Maori girl, Lily Otene,; aged 10, of Puha, was yesterday presented by' 'the Mayor, Me. D. Coleman, with the -Royal Humane Society's certificate for bravery. The girl displayed great presence of mind in an endeavour to save the life of her young-brother, whose, clothing caught alight. After extinguishing ithe flames by ■wrapping a rug around'him she returned to the house, which was also on fire, and extinguished the Are. and : thus -probably saved the life of her sister} ; "
