DR. CHILTON HONOURED.
EMERITUS PROFESSORSHIP. CANTERBURY COLLEGE AWARD. [BY TELEGRAPH. —-PBESS CHRISTCHtTRCH, Tuesday. ' Dr. Charles Chilton, who for 26 years was professor of biology at Canterbury College, and who was rector frpm 1921 to 1928, has ibeen appointed professor emeritus of the college, in recognition of his work as professor and rector. Dr. Chilton has been president of tho New Zealand Institute, of which he is a' Fellow, and he has been honoured by many universities abroad.
