Captain W. R. Lovering .and Mrs. Lovering, of Cornwall, arrived from Southampton by the Tamaroa yesterday. Captain Lovering is an Imperial Army officer and he served in the Great War. They are at the Grand Hotel, and- later will' tour New Zealand.

Mr. E. C. Lindsay, surgeon to the East London Hospital, arrived from England by the Tamaroa, and will visit relatives in Christchurch. Mr. Lindsay-was born in Dunedin, and received his early training at the Otago .Medical School, where lie was a prominent footballer.
