SPORTS GROUND WANTED.
PROPOSAL AT TE KUITI. CARNIVAL TO RAISE FUNDS. [BY TELEGRAPH. —OWN CORRESPONDENT.] TE KUITI. Tuesday. With the object of discussing way 3 and means to provide a sports ground and playing area, a meeting convened by the Te Kuiti Chamber of Commerce was held last evening. Representatives from many sports bodies wero present.
It was decided that a queen carnival be held at Te Kuiti to raise funds and a sub-committee was set up to investigate areas and report to a subsequent meeting.
